Salifu Ibrahim: From Offinso Abofour to Benin’s National Team.

Ghanaian-born footballer Salifu Ibrahim has officially completed a nationality switch to represent the Benin national football team. Born and raised in Offinso Abofour in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, Salifu's decision comes as both a personal and professional milestone in his football journey.

In an interview with 299 Foot, Salifu shared his motivation:

*"I am very happy with my choice to play for Benin, because my late father was also from Benin, so it is not difficult for me to change nationality,"* he revealed.

This heartfelt decision reflects a deep connection to his paternal roots. While Salifu made a name for himself in Ghanaian football, particularly in the Ghana Premier League, the opportunity to represent Benin marks a new chapter in his career.

"My dream was to one day play for the Benin national team, and that dream has come true, so I am very happy, he added.
